Course Overview (Subjects)
DPA के subjects को इस तरह design किया गया है कि student Panchakarma को केवल नाम से नहीं, सम्पूर्ण प्रक्रिया से समझे:
1. Principles of Panchakarma – Panchakarma का मूल उद्देश्य, पंचकर्म के पाँच मुख्य कर्म (Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, Raktamokshana) की संकल्पना, शरीर की शुद्धि, दोष–धातु–मल की समझ, contraindications और safety principles।
2. Basics of Human Anatomy / Biology – human body की basic संरचना – major systems (musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, digestive, excretory), ताकि assistant को पता हो कि किस therapy का शरीर पर क्या असर हो सकता है।
3. Purva Karma and Paschat Karma – Panchakarma से पहले (Purva Karma) – Snehana, Swedana, preparation steps; और Panchakarma के बाद (Paschat Karma) – Samsarjana Krama, diet regulation, rest, follow-up care – इन सबकी theoretical व practical समझ।
4. Preparation of Panchakarma Session – therapy room तैयार करना, dhara pathri, dravya (oils, ghee, decoctions) के लिए basic handling & storage norms, towel / linen / bed सेटअप, privacy, temperature management, hygiene, documentation & basic record-keeping।
Practical I (Panchakarma Environment) – Panchakarma unit का layout, equipment पहचानना, cleaning protocol, sterilization & hygiene practices, patient receiving, तैयारी और post-session room reset।
Practical II (Panchakarma Therapy) – Ayurvedic चिकित्सक के मार्गदर्शन में विभिन्न Panchakarma procedures में assistant की भूमिका – जैसे Abhyanga में तेल support, Shirodhara setup, Basti में सहायता, Swedana उपकरण चलाना आदि (सभी कार्य हमेशा qualified doctor / supervisor की देख–रेख में)।

1. Principles of Panchakarma – Concept and objectives of Panchakarma, five main Karma-s (Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, Raktamokshana), body purification, understanding of Dosha–Dhatu–Mala, basic contraindications and safety norms.
2. Basics of Human Anatomy / Biology – Foundation of human body structure and major systems – musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, digestive, excretory – so that you know what a therapy may influence in the body.
3. Purva Karma and Paschat Karma – Pre-procedure steps (Purva Karma) like Snehana, Swedana and preparation; post-procedure care (Paschat Karma) including diet regulation (Samsarjana Krama), rest and follow-up care.
4. Preparation of Panchakarma Session – Setting up therapy rooms, basic handling and storage of oils, ghee and decoctions, linen and bed arrangement, privacy and comfort, temperature control, hygiene and basic record-keeping.
Practical I (Panchakarma Environment) – Understanding Panchakarma unit layout, identifying equipment, cleaning protocols, sterilization and hygiene practices, receiving patients, preparing them and resetting the room post-therapy.
Practical II (Panchakarma Therapy) – Assisting qualified Ayurvedic doctors / therapists in various Panchakarma procedures – such as Abhyanga support, setting up Shirodhara, assisting in Basti, managing Swedana equipment etc. (All procedures strictly under supervision of a qualified doctor / supervisor.)
